There goes Sunset...

My heart dropped when I read Aleksa's message. It said she and Devon are moving to Brooklyn forever and leaving Echo Park... forever. This genuinely made me sad. No more Exitmusic for Celine. No more Exitmusic for Echo Park. For LA.

But I know that they will be growing as artists in Brooklyn and I am happy with the fact that they will be starting a life in a new city. Together.

So Infusion Cafe, the only cafe I will walk blocks and blocks to, is doing Sunday brunch now and I'm really excited! I hope Dani and DMan gather enough people to keep this a regular thing!

Echo Park

I have been to The Echo multiple times, but never have I been there to actually be part of it. Or at least bask in it. Met some really interesting people... interesting music people! Dana had invited us to her show with Part Time Punks and sadly, we missed that as we sat out and talked and talked and talked. I thought it was funny how people thought I was international as well as I sat in between France and London... Becky btdubs is HILARIOUS!!! Sat out there the whole time just talking about anything and everything! For some reason Nathan's band sound soooooooooo familiar! Kid Infinity anyone?

I saw GOD out there

Turner WAS right! You do see GOD amidst the hot desert sun and the altered states of acid kids at Coachella! When did I see GOD? I think it was somewhere in between the pyrotechnics of when you were young!

Lin is such an amazing photographer. I don't know how she works her magic! I mean... it can be the crappiest camera and you will look BOMB! I can't wait till she gets her pro status camera!

Anyway. We wondered about Little Tokyo parking on some random street and discovered a hidden sushi restaurant/ art gallery called R23. Right next to this sushi joint is a nice little cafe called Cafe Metropole. We still have yet to taste their lattes and such.

Bathroom Floors and Sparkles

I took my sister to The Echo. It was her first time. We went to go pee. Sparkly awesomeness on the bathroom floor. It turned out to be Karin Tatoyan. Gurlfriend blew my mind away!!!! I mean, I say amazing all the time, but seriously... her voice and stage presence was just AMAZING!!!

I took a couple of pictures and even recorded a video. But my camera isn't 'ferosche' like everyone else. So I stole from Myspace and Youtube! Talk about product placement!

Alright. It's hard for me to believe that Cody Adams has not had a show... ever... in his musical life!
